While most Service leavers successfully transition from military to civilian employment, some find this transition challenging. Transition can also impact the employment and careers of partners, particularly where relocation is involved. Therefore, this theme covers resources, articles, and documents, related to transition to civilian employment. This includes understanding the civilian workplace and jobs markets, personal and family preparation, partners experiences and preparation, issues associated with skills transferability and translation, employers’ attitudes, personal identity, understanding employment barriers and transition hurdles, as well as understanding facilitators to sustainable post-Service employment.
