Exit Wounds - Members of the LGBTQ+ community share their lived experiences of life before, during and after service in the UK military.

A privileged access interview report aiming to empower members of the LGBTQ+ veteran community and give them a platform by which they can safely and anonymously share their experiences, whilst simultaneously generating a meaningful discussion around service improvement and safeguarding practices for future generations. With the hope of identifying barriers to seeking help, look at correlations between Military Sexual Trauma and poor mental health outcomes, long after victims/ survivors leave the military. With the intention to recommend practical solutions to facilitate systemic change and improve health and social care support to the LGBT+ community during and after military service.
