The Westminster Centre for Research in Veterans at the University of Chester is hosting its 20th session of the Armed Forces Community Research International Webinar Series on the 7th of December 2023.

Dr Kathryn Rhine, a critical medical anthropologist and Associate Professor and Director of the Arts & Humanities in Healthcare program at the University of Chester, will speak on War’s Moral Injuries: Scholarly Contributions from the Health Humanities.

In this presentation, Dr Rhine will bring in perspectives on how epidemiological and social processes converge to render certain demographic vulnerable, blending political economic theories with analyses of deeply intimate experiences of illness, suffering, love, and faith.
