Armed Forces Network Conference: Together We CAN Make A Difference

The Armed Forces Network is holding its multi-disciplinary conference "Together We CAN Make a Difference" on 31st October 2023 in Brighton.

The conference will highlight local and national work being produced on meeting the needs of the Armed Forces community, breaking down the barriers between organisations and highlighting their achievements. Talks will be presented on subjects such as 'Op Fortitude: A Pathway Away from Homelessness', 'Op Nova: Supporting Veterans in the Justice System', 'Update on the Armed Forces (South East and general key messages)', Addiction, Maternity, Mental Health Pathways, Support to LGBT+ Veterans. 

Service Champions Awards will also be presented, and delegates will include ex-Service personnel, and organisations from various sectors such as Help for Heroes, AdFam, Kent Arts and Wellbeing, Fighting with Pride. 

Key speakers will include Chair Mike Gilbert (Executive Director of Corporate Governance, NHS Kent and Medway), Kate Davies CBE (Director Health & Justice, Armed Forces, Sexual Assault Support Services and Domestic Abuse & Sexual Violence, NHS England), Mr Andrew Blackman Esq
(His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of East Sussex) and many more.
