The Westminster Centre for Research in Veterans at the University of Chester is hosting the 18th session of the Armed Forces Community Research International Webinar Series on the 24th of August 2023.

Dr Stephen Hernandez, Associate Professor and PhD Program Director, University of New Mexico and College of Nursing Commander, 944th Aeromedical Staging Squadron will speak on Improving Resiliency and Managing Stress in Air Force personnel. 

In this presentation, Dr Hernandez will provide an overview of the findings of three completed studies, as well as, an overview of an upcoming multi-site study to examine the effectiveness of the Stress Management and Resilience Training (SMART) in increasing Air Force personnel’s resilience. The studies presented were possible through grant funding provided by the TriService Nursing Research Program.
