Everyone has mental health, sometimes this can be good, at other times there maybe difficulties. Among military personnel, difficulties with mental health may be related to Service and transition to civilian life post-Service; this may also affect the mental health of their family members. Therefore, this theme covers resources, articles and documents that aim to understand all aspects of ex-Service personnel and their family’s mental health. This includes, alcohol and substance misuse, common mental health disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and trauma-related experiences (e.g., Military Sexual Trauma, violence, and domestic abuse), the usefulness of veteran mental health services, and help-seeking and barriers to care.
